14 1/2″ tall, 22 1/4″ diameter (37 x 56.5 cm diam.) Very old, authentic object. The Malinke use this as a seat for a girl when she marries, her dowry items arrayed beneath her, around the base of the stool. We presume it will be more useful, outside of that ritual context, as a table.
